Dear colleague:

Grand Rapids PBS and NETA are pleased to present Inner Compass.  For the past eight years, WGVU-TV has been broadcasting this 30-minute interview series that tackles critical issues and concerns, imparting food for thought from interesting new perspectives to their viewers.  Now 13 30-minute programs are being released to U.S. public television stations.   This is good news for program director Carrie Corbin because now viewers outside of the Grand Rapids area will have the opportunity to watch the series.  As Corbin puts it:

The hosts know the topic; they know about the guests, and it shows. There simply is not another interview series like this available. These are thought-provoking topics that we don't see addressed elsewhere, and I'm always sorry to see the episode end. We appreciate the fact that some guests have a spiritual story to tell and some don't. That reflects life today. We're delighted to be the presenting station for this series.

We hope you’ll take the Sunday feeds that begin September 28, 2008 @ 1630 – 1700ET/513.

Inner Compass episodes delve into issues such as global health, authentic race relations, religion in international relations, migrant mothers and children, and local economies.  Program titles include (see the fact sheet that follows for short descriptions):
